Actually, it's not just Muslim tradition. Jews do it as well.

One of my brothers got "fimosis" when he was a kid, I mean the skin there was so tight that he couldn’t urinate.So my parents took him to the hospital and he was circumcised.
For your information Jesus Christ was also circumcised, like Metecyp said it is a Jewish tradition too.

I beleive however circumcision removes much of the sexual pleasure, by removing the sensitivity of that part, am I wrong?

I can hardly believe what I'm seeing in this thread.

I didn't apprecciate that circumcision was such an interesting topic, especially when discussing the Cyprus Problem.

However since there is such interest and since no-one took my previous post at all seriously( And rightly so) let me add some more meat to the topic.

Abraham was apparently the first man to be circumcised, He was the first Monotheist and he circumsised himself as his Covenant with the one God.

Most Jewish males are circumcised at the ripe old age of 8 days and this is also part of the "Naming" ceremony

Every Moslem I know has been circumcised and so it seems to me to be part of the Moslem Religion as well.

Women are not circumcised either in Judaism or Islam and to think that this might be the case only shows me the huge amount of Ignorance that exists on behalf of GC's towards TC's.

Did anyone say that the TC women are circumcised?

Sudan and Somalia are not Moslem countries? Female circumcision does not occur there? You may say that it is also an African tradition. However it doesn’t occur in any other African countries, at least as far as I know. Could it be just a coincidence that it happens in those two countries which also happen to be predominately Moslem?

An example of this paranoia in the Christian world is the volunteering of people in the Philippines and other countries to be crucified on the cross like Jesus was.
Most of the paranoias are linked to relegion.

However the matter of circumcission is due to climate conditions.
If I would stay some more years in the Gulf I would also do it, because it is so hot there, there is no other way to keep your health.

The whole discussion started because that guy who went to the occupied asking for asylum, thought he should do curcumcission to be "an equal citizen". What would you expect from a lunatic? This guy has so much immovable property , however he prefers to live on wellfare and cry all the time against the RoC...
