For us living in the TRNC we use the names Girne and Maraş..I just happened to know what you call it from previousl debates...thought Id help you out, obviously you knew where Maraş is.

I do. It's in Turkey.

And Athens is in Ohio/USA and Cyprus is in East London

And Varosha is in Cyprus.

VP dont be bloody ridiculous , the name of this town is recorded and know worldwide , in the shipping world as well as the political world as VARASHIA.
You can , if you like call it Boloucks , but the correfct and only name is that by which the town has been know for ages .

Do not act the innocent. You are aware that settlers give new names to areas they settle in. Usually associated with their places of origin. Like New York, New Asterdam, Athens Cyprus and hundreds more settlements are testament to this. That was what I was pointing out.

For us its Maraş and will be as long as we see fit, if we ever agree a solution then these names can come out in the wash but seeing you currently have Turkish as an official language in your constitiution we will call it by its Turkisg name which is Maraş.
