I'm Cypriot

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Yes in Cypriot its called Varosha, in Turkish its Maras.

At least VP has further established the real Cypriots from the foreign settlers.

But what happened to:

"Forget all the other names it's now called Maras"

in relation to the Cypriot town of Varosha?

Is there a language called Cypriot now? is it in your constitiution?

It was called Marash, long before 1974 and 1960.

For us living in the TRNC we use the names Girne and Maraş..I just happened to know what you call it from previousl debates...thought Id help you out, obviously you knew where Maraş is.

Now? There's been a Cypriot language for millennia, rooted in Koine, used throughout the eastern Mediterranean since before the time of Christ.

No. Divisive educational policies and the media have marginalised Cypriot, as well as Gibrizlija, in favour of standardised language forms from the respective ‘mainlands’.
