I'm Cypriot

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Thank you for telling me, where does the other name come in and where are you talking about?

... and how beautiful it sounds when said the old way .... Jerinia.

Any more Jeriniotes to declare their allegiance to the old place? .....

The other name is more traditional... in Cypriot the 'g' sound is often softened to a 'j' - as in 'je' = and (as opposed to 'ge' or 'ke').

My personal preference would be Jerinia.

Is it a Greek word? I dont knwo Greek so I wouldnt know what you are talking about...do you know the Turkish name or even English one?

English: Kyrenia

I attach a map of the ethnic groups' distribution in 1973.

Kyrenia has a 75%+ GC population. So it's fair to know her greek name.
