... Excuse me! But I don't think you took enough time to read and reflect on the "Symbolisms of the Sword" information I gave you ....

It's the symbolism of the flag as a whole that matters. That is a symbol of Imperialism, of Empire, as is the Star and Crescent moon.

The symbolism of the flag as a whole, is of a beautiful bird (eagle) with two heads (two heads, better than one) looking East and West ... What could be more open minded or Global? Or, looking to the past and the future ... It's a brilliant symbol worthy of a T-shirt I shall commission tomorrow 8)

At least it's not a turkey ....

A two headed bird, looking east and west in search for more to grab. Forget it Oracle. Megalo Idea was killed long time ago.

I am pleased you delight in your fotisma regarding our ancient 'star and crescent' symbol, and in order to avoid hypocrisy, on your part, may I now see you show the same courtesy to our other (less) ancient symbols ....

Perhaps the Orthodox Church is ahead of you .....

The Church should defiantly fly this star and crescent - and then, perhaps, my fotisman will be complete.

One head looked west towards Rome and the other looked east towards Constantinople. It was the Byzantine Flag, and the GO church was connected to the prime patriarchate in Constantinople in a big way.

That flag has nothing to do with politics, or ethnicity, but is used by the GO Church, which I'm sure is irrelevent.

What is not OK, is to allow ANY religion to influence politics in any way. Religion interferes far too much, and this needs to stop, particularly in Cyprus. Perhaps the RoC can remove all religious content from state TV, and also from the school curricula. This would be a step in the right direction imho.

Thanks Paphitis. I know about the flag. But what a way to wind Oracle up (as she constantly does, unsuccessfully)

So long as it's just the screen that is frozen and everything else is intact, you will recover. You may well be suffering from Nervous Virtual Digital Stuttering (NVDS). A second opinion may be worthwhile; however as the instigator of this condition her opinion should not be sought in my opinion. It could be detrimental to your recovery from NVDS.
