In fact it's a snapshot from the Greek documentary Atilla (The rape of Cyprus). It may be the same mountain, however I can't make it sure since perspectives and shooting distances between the pictures I have are different from each other.

I also want to share my opinion on the flag issue. As any other nation we; Turkish, really like the flags waving all around our country. It's the same everywhere in the world, but I would like to mention that Greeks are the most freak people over flagism! among the nations I have observed. Don't take it offensive, blue and white houses even the same colour furnitures inside them really look nice.

Regarding the misspelling can it be a difference of Greek languages (I mean Ancient Greek, Cypriot Greek and Modern Greek)

What are you talking about? What do these have to do with the flag or Enosis? Are you on the rocks?

I was also told by many that churches in South have Byzantine flags. I don't like people talking on a subject without having sufficient knowledge on sth. As far as I know, that flag has nothing to do with Byzantine flag...It may be Orthodox church's flag...

Ok they look almost the same; however, they ARE different! One belongs to Byzantine whereas the other belongs to Orthodox Church. I believe there is nothing wrong with it.

Alpeis, they don't 'look almost the same'. They ARE the same flag. They both belong to Byzantium, an empire long passed, that the Church, for some reason, which has nothing to do with faith or the teachings of Jesus, wishes to perpetuate.
