I don't think there is any place that is as clean as Switzerland.
I have a lifelong friend in the UK who once described Switzerland to me before I moved here, which he said that "Switzerland looks as if it has just come out of the washing machine.".!
Most parts of the US is clean, but does not compare to CH.
I was at a street party last week and again last night at a different location and with thousands of people there, I only saw 2 police officers (non last week). Despite people drinking a lot, there are never any troubles, and yes, you can see faces from many different nations, both in the crowd and in the food stands. Immigrants really to adopt to way of Swiss life and culture, which basically means that, everyone is entrusted with responsibilities to follow, like "honour transportation" that you need a ticket to ride the trains and the buses, but no one checks them before you get on. If the ticket inspectors come and you do not have a valid ticket for your journey, you have a on the spot fine of 80 Swiss Francs or about £50 Pounds (on local trains only. Long distance trains, you can buy a ticket for your journey from the conductor without a penalty if you do not have a ticket already, because these trains have permanent conductors on them). Further violations will include court actions. As for the rubbish at these events, they are piled into rubbish bins, and when the bin is full, it is piled on even more before they are placed on the ground next to the rubbish bins. It is quite artistic actually, which I do refer it as being "Swiss Art".!
