EOKA ended all operations at the time of the zurich agreements, Eoka B was not formed until 1971, and it was formed to overthrow Makarios not kill tc as your propaganda machines tell you...

35 years later it must be pretty obvious that we don't want anything more than a normal life on our island along with our fellow Cypriots.

Yet the people who caused the Turkish army to arrive in the first place seem to vigorously deny our need for some protection(!!).

Well people, 35 years later we have not fired a single bullet (well just the 1 and it was a TC officer not Turkish plus you provoked it).

So if you do not trust us then how can you expect us to trust you? Yet you go even further and demand our trust as a condition within the negotiations.

In my opinion, your way of negotiating seems to be more about forcing us into a position of your choice, rather than actually wanting a solution for a united Cyprus where we are all equal.

Maybe you don't actually want a solution but have other agendas beneath your will for "justice and human rights", which seems to be the most popular reason to make life hell for people these days anyways

You state that the TURKISH MILITARY is safeguarding peace for the Turkish Cypriots. What if the GREEK MILITARY placed 35000 troops on the island to protect the Greek Cypriots. Surely you would say that if Turkish Cypriots are entitled to protection so should the GREEK Cypriots.

You would find that the GC's did NOT need any assistance against the TC's initially, as they were overwhelmingly superior AND they still DID get help from the Greeks.

Were they out to bring justice on the island? Doubt it.

The Greek's had openly admitted that they were aiming to remove the TC presence from the island completely and unite the island with Greece.

So, under such circumstances who is it that needs the help? GC's?

Greece has already got an army presence on the island, just not as many.

I guess all they can muster up is a few thousand, that's not our problem.

You are not answering the question! If you have the right to defend yourself with TURKISH MILITARY do the GREEK CYPRIOTS have the same right to request GREECE MILITARY to defend its citizens, yes or no?
The fact that GC may or may not request is irrelevant. What is important here is to acknowledge whether the Greek Cypriots have the same rights.
Because up to now all you do is talk about equal rights.

Well I have already told you that the Greek's DO already have an army there, the fact that it is not as big as the Turkish one here is not our problem. No one claims that they cannot be there, unlike the GC's who want the Turkish army out.

When did you hear Turkey or anyone here complain about the military presence within the RoC?

They are arming themselves to their teeth.

Your analogy is totally void.

So you do not object if the GREEK MILITARY is increased to 35000 and we put missiles pointing in your direction because as you say it is a deterrent and good for peace.

Go ahead, you already have 12000 soldiers and 120.000 armed reservists so rather a sore point, they call it being a hypocrite.
