They all plead not guilty and just using the betting shop as their local cafe, only three are still working full-time and the rest are pensioners and they are all very friendly with the judge and on good terms as over the two years they have got used to each other. My husband and his brother are among the number and don't seem too worried about the outcome.

Annaka.

If they were english they would of been given 85,000 euro fine (EACH) and been sentenced, the judge, the police, the solicitor would of all their heads together like a german porm star with a chav moustach and said "oooh yar good english, lets have their pants down"!!!!!

Do I detect a slight touch of resentment regarding the way you have been treated in Cyprus?

After 35 years here, the only thing I can find to complain about is whinging Brits!

Absolutely CBBB, in this particular case (which you have commented on) I wonder if the author is aware of the fact that the attitude which he/she so disparagingly describes, is precisely what one would expect from the 'Brits' when they administer their warped sense of justice to those of other nations.

Fact is, they most probably were the first to instigate such attitudes as a result of their seemingly misguided opinion that they are better than anyone else, particularly if the poor recipient of their 'Justice' is unable to speak/write/understand their concocted language.

we are all entitled to an opiniun, HELLOOO its a forum right!!!!

BCFWM had a no more bigoted view than Floda  They are after all ONLY opinions.

There is currently an important case going on here in the East, the 'victim' has been pratted about by the authorities for two and a half years, the Cypriot solicitor for his defence has been today quoted as feeling ashamed for the way he has been treated. He the victim is british the cypriot men charged in the assault (three to one) have done all in their power to avoid going to court   It will probably become a high interest case once any verdict has been reached, and I suspect we will all be arguing about it

Generalisations like your quote BCFWM are dangerous and frankly untrue  I have recieved bad treatment from a crooked Lawyer and his mate The Developer, we got our pound of flesh in the end, and would NEVER equate those two gits as a whole population, we met similar gits in the UK over a period of years and never blamed the whole of the UK for them  Chill out girl. Do not count me, as a Brit in your stupid quotes, you spoil it for us who now prefer to call Cyprus our adopted home.

And being pedantic here its not WINCH its whinge  Its easy on this Forum to join in and put your point over, who cares IF others don,t like it or refer to name calling, don,t rise to it so much. But at least be honest.

I was,nt defending you just pointing out a fact. I,m a realist.
