Every news spots comes out from Cyprus shows that Swine flu spreading rapidly at both side of the island .

do we have to panic ?

lol well in agia napa people have died and i think the total count in cyprus is 27 deaths.. basically im staying away from agia napa .. i think we are safe in nicosia

NICOSIA - Health officials today confirmed 10 new swine flu (H1N1) cases on the island.
Eight are Cypriots, and two are tourists visiting the free area of Famagusta.
Health Minister Christos Patsalides said there was no need for panic and called for caution.
“My message is that, despite the increasing number of flu cases and the increasing burden on the island’s Health Services, there is no need for unnecessary worry,” he added after today’s Cabinet meeting.
Those with flu symptoms should immediately visit a hospital or their private doctors because a prompt diagnosis as well as proper protection measures were the means to combat this flu virus, he also said.

well i havent heard of any cases in nicosia just in the limassol/agia napa areas.. but you never knwo what will happen who will bring the disease... but fromt he news they say there is no need for panic or masks

There are 58 CONFIRMED CASES, nowhere near 27 deaths either, people at most risk are those with underlying medical conditions which makes recovery more difficult.

I have not seen any recorded cases of anyone dying in Cyprus directly from swine flu.

Its ironic thast the first fatality in the uk was a young moslem girl. (posted previously - 5 mins ago on another thread).

Unless someone is carrying out a cover up, there have been no deaths in Cyprus due to this.
