Ioannis my son wants to get married in Cy next year

He and his fiancee have expressed a preference for a beach type wedding in Limassol which will be followed by a blessing in the G.O church in Lemythou.

Now I have no problem arranging the blessing in Lemythou and the shindig that follows but would appreciate any suggestions re the beach wedding.

They are looking at the moment at the Amathus or similar

What I would like to know is ....Is it better to deal direct with the Hotel for the wedding and accomodation etc and book flights independently or would it be more cost effective using a wedding planner service or indeed go via a travel agent for the lot?

If anyone has experience of the pros and cons of either please post or pm me

If you are in Cyprus then just deal with the Hotel directly. Go to several like Grand Resort, Elias, Amathous, Four Seasons, Mediterranean etc and talk to them and ask from them to tell you how they do the weddings and what options they have for you for your needs. Then decide which one you prefer. You will also need to arrange for a few other things like flowers and lokoumia and maybe invitations. It is not too difficult but if you don't want to bother then you can just hire a wedding planner.

Richard, the Amathus will preety much organise everything for you which has to do with inside the hotel. You only have to negotiate the price.
