Somethings are cheaper here than UK - council tax, (115 euro per year) water (20 euros a quarter) gas (8 euros every few months) electricity is high - last July/August my bill was 700 euro...(I am addicted to the a/c though) rents are cheaper than the UK, (3 bed + pool, nice area 700 euro)

Shopping is more expensive for me here, and school fees and clothes and cars. Petrol a bit cheaper here, days out cheaper here and more importantly, much safer and nicer here!

The water in the UK falls out of the sky for free but all the water companies are French owned so boy do they know how to charge!
