Probably the only reason why Turkey is not one of the worst offenders with technology surveillance, is that such a huge proportion of their population cannot even afford toilet paper!

They don't have toilet seats either.

With all this talk of human rights I thought it deserved its own thread. I'll kick it off with an interesting map from privacyinternational.org which has identified which countries provide privacy protection and which countries are guilty of extensive surveillance on their own citizens in breach of their human rights. The findings are a little surprising...turns out the worst offenders are China, Russia, Malaysia, GREAT BRITAIN and the USA.

What happens in the grey countries? to make even more scorn of the map Argentina which is at best a fascist regime most of the time is rated twice as good as the UK.
