You risk becoming a crashing bore if you keep repeating this 'M' word. In the interests of good style, I recommend that you acquire a range of synonyms for your preferred 'other'.

My friend, I'll just keep making my point; if you choose to focus on how I choose to denigrate the occupiers rather than on the point I'm trying to make, that's your business.

It is also a factual error which can only serve to detract from whatever point you imagine you are making.

If you say so. On the flip side, it exposes my bias so at least no one can claim that I have a hidden agenda.

come again?...

And what do you suppose my hidden agenda is?

What the TCs have always been, is a minority in the whole of Cyprus.

This Turkish colonisation is a travesty on the GCs, more so than on the TCs ....

at the last election this is what i was trying to figure out and the best i got was that the vote between tc's and turkish were on a 50/50 basis.

so if turkey insists on sending more people here the tc's will be a minority.
i'm not sure why they would be sending more people as the ones who are here don't all have jobs, so why send more? what is ment to be here for them? :D

Block the population transfer

The Turkish Cypriot Democracy Association in London, arguing that the political will of the Turkish Cypriots on the island has been usurped, has called on the UN, the EU and United Kingdom official bodies to block the population transfer from the Republic of Turkey. The Democracy Association, stressing that the transfer of population constitutes one of the biggest barriers to lasting peace in Cyprus, points out that this practice has reduced the Turkish Cypriot community to a minority in its own country and destroyed its political will. Association officials, noting that there has also been a breach of the 1950 International Geneva Convention, state that by means of population transfer a serious attack has been mounted on the Turkish Cypriots’ right to self determination. The call to the UN, EU and Britain says: If, in order to achieve peace in Cyprus and to preserve any such peace that is attained, it is important to sustain the existence of the Turkish Cypriot community – which we believe to be important – then prevent the ongoing transfer of population from Turkey to the north of Cyprus.

And then they wiil move to South , as Cypriots citizens, became a minority and Turkey will come to protect them again sharing 50/50 of the rest 63 per cent-meantime north will became 100 Turkish. I like these Turks and the way they are planing/acting.We have to send Mpakogianni and some other low minded Greek politicians in Ankara for several years for studies!!!

A bit of positive news from TCs in the UK but still the hatemongers try and put the boot in. How about using this news to try and find some common ground. These are the people we want to share Cyprus with, they want an end to colonisation as we do, they should be applauded and encouraged to get their point across to the EU, UN and UK. Turkey is the enemy - not the majority of Turkish Cypriots.
