Antiwar.com represents the truly pro-America side of the foreign policy debate. With our focus on a less centralized government and freedom at home, we consider ourselves the real American patriots. "America first!" regards the traditions of a republican government and non-interventionism as paramount to freedom – a concept that helped forge the foundation of this nation.

You missed the best bit in that link...

This site is devoted to the cause of non-interventionism and is read by libertarians, pacifists, leftists, "greens," and independents alike, as well as many on the Right who agree with our opposition to imperialism.

Mousavi is still defiant...oh and I wouldn't get my news from a an Iran state website. Here's the BBC
Iran's Mousavi defies crackdown
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/middle_east/8118783.stm

By the way your headline should read "Democratic state kills 20 in political demonstrations by accident."

One wonders what more these Iranians want from life...

DT , surely you ought to have realized by now the level of GR's pathological aversion of the USA. He is not alone , many Cypriots .alas, share the conviction that all evil that befalls the world is the fault of America.
Iran , a theocratic dictatorship , on the brink of self destruction , will not stop at just murdering protesters , Iranians who are protesting at the rigged results of this election farce.
The country is slowly but surely approaching the stage where civil war will be seen by many progressive Iranians as the only solution to Iran's drift into the middle ages .

Whoever is involved in this (and I don't believe any other countries are) all you need to look at is what is the objective. Am I going to sit here and argue about a bunch of clerics posing as supreme leaders holding back and keeping down a progressive people like the Iranians? Or am I going to support them in achieving a democratic way of life?

What possible good could come from a theocracy?
