The owner is in fact a Greek from Greece . He has been a customer of ours for some time now, he had previously a restaurant in Waterloo , the Kings Road premises was a ladies cloths shop until about 18 months ago when he changed it to the present Cafe / Restaurant.
He put pressure for completion but my solicitor was no ready , however when he kindly offered us the keys to move in before signing contracts we thought it as a good idea since we could move in our new equipment , arrange for canopy and new sign as well as other improvements. My son started trading on Wednesday and was very encouraged by the first days business , canopy and sign had been ordered as well as stock.
On discovering that A3 was not in order as I was told and that an application had been rejected already by the council , naturally the contract has to be renegotiated. The Vendor withheld vital information relevant to the running of the business , so its back to the drawing board.
The business is still running but with an uncertain future.
