Erdogan has Spoken!

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Postby hasanaggi » Fri Jun 26, 2009 4:13 pm

Well it would appear that since Mustafa Kemal advocated westernisation, not only did The Turks adopt western alphabet, they also mastered and became fluent in the use of language which the Europeans mastered many moons earlier, in places like the Americas for example. American Indians gave it another name……………………………..oh yeah forked tongue.

You yourself used it excellently recently describing Turkish Cypriots as traitors…………..

'isms' they all stink!

Postby cymart » Fri Jun 26, 2009 4:24 pm

Communism,Fascism,Zionism,Stalinism,Leninism-even Capitalism is beginning to smell bad!Nationalism and definitely Hellenism are in the first category-this planet belongs to all the human race for the time of their present incarnation-none of us brought anything material with us when we were born and we will leave it the same way!We cannot own this world, only try to respect it and live with grace and humility!

...but words like those were first spoken by ancient people who were far greater and wiser than any of us here,I'm sure?
If only people would realise that what a politician says for internal consumption often does not state his real intentions!Erdogan is no exception and there are a million other examples.....
The guy is treading a tight-rope with nationalists and militants breathing down his neck, plus the so-called 'deep state' and the military so making statements about Cyprus which would upset them is hardly going to help his position,is it?
Christophias is in the same boat with a small core of very loud mouthed nationalists and hardliners, whose parties are supposedly government allies, ready to jump on him for anything they perceive as a concession to the other side.
Better to judge from results, rather than words! You can find these kind of people all over the world, always ready to abuse anyone who opposes their views, but rarely with any positive or constructive suggestions of their own and many of them have nice cushy positions from which they can mouth their so-called 'patriotism' etc!
The old saying'Empty vessels make most noise!!'

If I did describe Turkish Cypriots as traitors (context please?) then you cannot accuse me of speaking with a forked tongue ....

Just because you have decided Erdogan is speaking "bollox" you do not have to demonstrate your prize capacity to out-do him on every thread, and with every post .....

Madam I shall make comment in an open forum whenever and however I please. Or would you prefer to deny me freedom of speech?

You are free to post "bollox" ... neither I nor anyone else will stand in your way.

What I objected to, was you espousing a lack of free will in talking "bollox", and instead asserting that you followed suit since that was all which was on offer ... an example of you, perhaps, spouting bollox, but being unable to discern that which is, from that which is not ....

Please continue in your bollox fest, unfettered.....
