Jogging Russian tourist nabbed by Turkish troops

A RUSSIAN tourist who went out for a jog on Sunday ended up in a prison in the north after being arrested by Turkish troops for violating a “top security military zone”.

He was released late last night and was giving a statement to police.

The 43-year-old Russian architect came to Cyprus with his wife for a holiday, staying in the Kapparis area of Paralimni. On Sunday, at 7am, he went out for a jog as he did on every other day of his holiday, but this time, he failed to return to his hotel. At 11.25am, his wife called Famagusta police to report her husband missing.

Later in the day, the Russian wife informed police that she had received a call from her husband’s secretary in Moscow who told her that a Russian woman in the north had called her, informing her that her boss was safe and under arrest in the occupied areas.

According to reports, the man had strayed into the north while on his jog. At around 9.30am, he was arrested while on foot by Turkish troops for entering a top security restricted military zone.

is believed that the Russian Embassy joined in efforts to secure his release.

YOU FILTHY WANKERS CAN GO TO HELL WITH YOUR PSEUDOSTATE... I just wish he could get arrested and put in jail for a long time so as a collateral just to bring attention of a massive Russian media to your shithole puppet government to show how miserably primitive you are.

If you walk along the rocks on the beach you can just walk into the green line without knowing it.
