How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Tough guy PM doesn't have the balls to visit Athens

Postby james_mav » Mon Jun 22, 2009 2:42 am

This tough guy gets a sick note from mummie to avoid having to visit Greece and have Karamanlis ask him a few tough questions? The balls on this guy!

Private Greek television channel Antenne said: “It is not clear whether Erdoğan's illness is real or a diplomatic uneasiness. As a matter of fact, the Turkish prime minister didn't come because of his uneasiness over the EU statements concerning illegal immigrants and his concern that Karamanlis would bring up the issue of illegal immigration during his visit to Athens.

Erdoğan and Karamanlis were supposed to hold a bilateral meeting Saturday before the opening of the Acropolis Museum. The two leaders were to discuss important bilateral matters as well as the ongoing Cyprus talks.

[...]

The second and more important cause of the cancellation late Friday was the release of the EU presidency’s conclusions regarding Turkey as a source of illegal human trafficking. The report said Turkey had been inserted in the text on Greece’s demand.

One thing the media do not seem to mention is that erdogan would've been in the same room as President Christofias - I don't suppose these two have ever met or spoken at an international gathering before?

Civilization comparisons are very heavy for the stomach of Mongols as well as for Choirokitians.

Do not forget that all ancient Greek momuments in West Turkey are presented to tourists as momuments of Turks ancestors!!!!!!

As per your last question the 2 leaders have met on many occassions. Everytime there's an avaluation over Turkish membership for starters the Turkish leaders has to circle the entire European council and greet all the other leaders first before he sits down.

I wonder how this constitutes "non-recognition" then...

just one of many problems when you're the only country swimming against a current. You're forced to do things that make your position look even more confusing!

Yes it did sound like elaborate excusing to avoid the daunting prospect of being the most backward, uncivilised, barbarian that still holds a political position in this neck of the woods....

Mind you, he has been going off the rails, increasingly, recently  ... Sectioning to a psychiatric unit may be necessary ...

What do you mean by “Greek monuments”? Do you assume than anything found in the world that resembles a style found on mainland Greece is exclusively “Greek”? Who can possibly say that with any level accuracy?

Were you there to witness the first person who built this alleged “Greek style” and did he file a patent?

Did “Greece” or “Greek” even exist back then or are these modern 19th century politician’s labels?

And who exactly are these modern “Greeks” today? The only obvious and verifiable descend is one of Slavic-Turkic origin so who are they to lay claim to anything from the past?

Unlike islands, the entire European main land was a continuous struggle of ever-changing borders and non-stop migrations!

It’s time the world comes down hard on modern Greece and pushes them into a corner to confront reality instead of allowing them to live in mythological fantasies…

That must be part of your rehabilitation program, to help you get through the day.

Why can't the Tourkos also be proud of their ancestry

Yes, why can't they? You should be proud of your own ...
