Hi all.
I`m new to this forum (this is also the first forum I have registered on).
My partner and I have just returned to the UK from Paphos where we have just taken delivery of our holiday home. We have been staying at an appart-hotel in Coral Bay whils`t we have been furnishing our place.
One evening we returned to the appartment and went out onto the terrace where we saw the spider,see link. Its body was about 4 inches long.
Could anyone tell us what type of spider it might have been as we would be interested to find out.

This is commonly known as a BIG spider.

It is probably a Cyprus Tarantula....

I hate spiders so much.....This may seem silly, but if I ever see one of these, you will never see me move so fast....They give me the creeps....

I would have to send in my partner to safely remove it from the house....I would be right behind her, offering strong moral support.... :lol:

Thanks peeps. Showed the pic to my daughter who`s 13 and she said ahhh isn`t it cute! and yet I daren`t show it to my sis who, shall we say is over 21, because she would have a fit. She is absolutely terrified of all spiders, even toy ones.
