All these pictures remind me of dining out in Limassol.

We were in a taverna in Ayias Andreas Street when this woman suddenly shrieked and ran passed us towards the exit as fast as she could. Another lady (sitting close by) jumped onto a chair and then we saw it - this terrified tarantula, obvioulsy just looking for some peace and quiet in a dark corner but not succeeding!

The owner of the taverna was no better, likewise the above womens' partners and it was left to Webbo to take the dustpan and brush from the owner, gently coax the spider to 'jump aboard' and take it outside to freedom!

Me? I was just happy that I was not in close proximity! I did not run away or take refuge on a chair though! :)

Can,t tell 100% from pic but I think its the European Wolf Spider, big and can bite but not dangerous :? . Recently I found this near to my rubbish bin outside  Getting away from Mum was fairly straightforward, it was ALL the kids that proved a problem

Not my photo by the way, pasted similar, I had no desire strangely enough to go in and get a camera. I was by the time all the babies shot off in all directions well away from it.
