come on man...you never had one as a pet while growing up?...

Nice one Steve Irwin...Did you also have a crocodile in the back yard?

no but I had a dingo in the seventies...does that count?...

Didn't the dingo eat someone's baby?

Dingo's are usually the most shy and timid dogs...

They would make an excellent pet, but no one is allowed to have them. They are protected.

I think that story was made up by the baby's mother.

The story was correct..this is what happens when you start feeding wild animals at camp sites...same as the bears at Yellowstone, in the US...

anyway moving along...

what do you call a baby in a pram in Northern Territory....meals on wheels...

definition of revenge....a baby eating a dingo...

I`m new to this forum (this is also the first forum I have registered on).
My partner and I have just returned to the UK from Paphos where we have just taken delivery of our holiday home. We have been staying at an appart-hotel in Coral Bay whils`t we have been furnishing our place.
One evening we returned to the appartment and went out onto the terrace where we saw the spider, see link. Its body was about 4 inches long.
Could anyone tell us what type of spider it might have been as we would be interested to find out.
Thanks in anticipation of any replies.

Welcome to the forum, its a good read with a good giggle!!
Regarding your question to my knowledge this is a trantchular, it is not poisonous in anyway unless you are very young or rather old or frail. But it will be more than happy to bite you ima fraid to say, and a nasty bite too. They rare up to you on its back legs and shows its ugly face!! best to stay away from it.
Cats are great to have and keep outside as they keep these gits away from entering your house!!!
Also if your house is anywhere near a banana plantation which it probablly is being in coral bay, then I would personally have to pack my bags and get the hell out of there!!! he he he :)

I come from the Larnaca area and am surprised you have not encountered the famous 'Jumping midget Tarantula'. Its bite isnt bad. You only get a rash when you are in its vicinity.About 13 inches is the range of its 'spit'. Its is an USMA.

Best not look under the bed or you will never get any sleep. As for the shoes, in-laws tip was always to check shoe before inserting foot

Got some lovely examples of various spiders and their webs in our old stable, but it's the discarded snake skins hanging down from the cane ceiling that scare the **** out of me
