forbidden words are :
Turkish Cypriot (Kıbrıslı Türk)
Cypriot(Kıbrıslı)
and This country is our .(Bu memleket bizim)
This the policy of the UBP .
Well Halil, what can I say to you my friend, who used to be a TC but will be know from now on as a CT. It was only a matter of time before it came down to this, which is not finished with by the way, not until you are forced to call yourselves "TURKS"...full stop.! But the writing was on the wall for a very long time, but you just chose to ignore it, just because you thought you were going to be your own EFENDI in the north.!
First you were forced to change your names so that it had a lot of the Anatolian flavours to it, so that the TC's would be assimilated into the settlers much easier, which you did not complain at all. Now you are being told you are no longer a Turkish Cypriot, but a Cyprus Turk, and then will come being, just Turk. So much for all your posts telling us that the settlers were becoming more TC than the TC's themselves. Boy, did you ever fool yourself by believing such rubbish. Then you told us that you have a democracy in the north, but come election time, all the political parties were bribing people with money to vote for them and in the end, the majority votes were cast by the settlers masquerading as TC's, which made the true TC's not to have a voice any longer, which you did not complain again.
Maybe this is what you meant by saying that the settlers were becoming more of a TC then the TC’s themselves.!! No, the settlers have not become more of a TC, but rather, they have become MORE than the TC’s.! Then you told us that you had freedom of the press and anyone can write what ever they wanted, but now your new bosses tell you, you cannot use the term Turkish Cypriot or Cypriot any longer, and once again, you will not complain and will do as you been told. So much for the freedom of the press that prohibits you from acknowledging your own existence, just like when you were forced to change your name. Do you have anymore bad news Halil, or is this it.? Well, the bad news is not over really, because you are being prepared for the "slaughter house" to strip you of your identity once and for all of ever being a Cypriot, which wont be too long now.! When will you start to complain to your bosses that you do not wish to lose your Cypriot heritage for what ever amount of money they are giving you, to do just that..????
Goodbye Turkish Cypriotism.!!!
