Knowing you lot, probably its somwhere in Turkey, but those roads are too perfect.
Reverse Trojan Horse' Cypriot style methinks
You didn't think Cyprus was seriously going to gift these advance weapon systems to Greece did you?
We have learnt (Trojan Horse?) to never trust Greeks bearing.....
Stick to tradition and that will be fine with me. At least we know what to expect.
Deniz...I don't know why you are so hot and bothered about these weapons, because it is only an Air Defence System, which is used to defend Cypriot Airspace from possible TAF attack, and also from other cruise missiles. The missile system is the equivalent to America's Patriot.
These weapons are purely defensive in nature, and Cyprus does have the right to invest in weapons for its national security and defence.
Not at all Bafidis. I find it all amusing. I study the Afghans and laugh at the west with their military superiority.
Not bothered at all.
I am more bothered with those bastards in the north.
So you should be Deniz. And the GCs also feel the same way. If anything, it all just proves that Turkey is not interested in a solution at all, but this will change in a few years when Turkey is forced to make a choice between EU or Cyprus.
They are not only the occupiers (referring to the Turkish Army) of the RoC, but it is a proven fact that they are the TCs enemy as well.
When the RoC buys weapons, it is only so that we can defend ourselves against a numerically superior force. If Cyprus was a united free country, we wouldn't need as many weapons.
We just want our country whole again. Nothing against the TCs at all. In fact, we understand what some of you are going through but unfortunately, many others such as VP, Y-Fred, Zan et al still haven't got it through their thick heads yet, or they choose to ignore the realities. Even Halil has become depressed now...
This is just the beginning BTW. It is going to get a lot worse.
The TCs need to find the courage to resist before it is too late. If this is done now, then something is salvageable. If not, then there won't be any TCs left on Cyprus.
This is a very tall order, because it is asking the TCs to face their Goliath. What choice do the TCs have?
I sincerely sympathise with your predicament. Your predicament is our predicament as well.
If I said it once I said it 10 million times Bafidi. So long as RoC has the TCs’ hands shackled there can be no effort made against Turkey. First the RoC has to remove economic isolation of TCs. Your idea that TCs should resist Turkey when RoC cannot, is almost as laughable as the idea that Palestinian Authority should sort out Hamas when Israel itself tried and failed.
Back to the real world.
The CTs (TC ones) are not isolated. They have EU pssports and RoC ID cards. They are also entitled to free RoC medical care.
Trade can only occur between countries. Since you are not a country, you are left between a RoC and hard place...
