You didn't think Cyprus was seriously going to gift these advance weapon systems to Greece did you? :?

We have learnt (Trojan Horse?) to never trust Greeks bearing.....

Stick to tradition and that will be fine with me. At least we know what to expect.

Deniz...I don't know why you are so hot and bothered about these weapons, because it is only an Air Defence System, which is used to defend Cypriot Airspace from possible TAF attack, and also from other cruise missiles. The missile system is the equivalent to America's Patriot.

These weapons are purely defensive in nature, and Cyprus does have the right to invest in weapons for its national security and defence.

Not at all Bafidis. I find it all amusing. I study the Afghans and laugh at the west with their military superiority.

Not bothered at all.

I am more bothered with those bastards in the north.

So you should be Deniz. And the GCs also feel the same way. If anything, it all just proves that Turkey is not interested in a solution at all, but this will change in a few years when Turkey is forced to make a choice between EU or Cyprus.

They are not only the occupiers (referring to the Turkish Army) of the RoC, but it is a proven fact that they are the TCs enemy as well.

When the RoC buys weapons, it is only so that we can defend ourselves against a numerically superior force. If Cyprus was a united free country, we wouldn't need as many weapons.

We just want our country whole again. Nothing against the TCs at all. In fact, we understand what some of you are going through but unfortunately, many others such as VP, Y-Fred, Zan et al still haven't got it through their thick heads yet, or they choose to ignore the realities. :? Even Halil has become depressed now...

This is just the beginning BTW. It is going to get a lot worse.

The TCs need to find the courage to resist before it is too late. If this is done now, then something is salvageable. If not, then there won't be any TCs left on Cyprus.

This is a very tall order, because it is asking the TCs to face their Goliath. What choice do the TCs have?

I sincerely sympathise with your predicament. Your predicament is our predicament as well.

It seems that some party leaders are pandering to the whims of Turkey. It is obviusly that they have sold their souls to the devil.
I find it hard to believe that All those forumers you mention are of the same ilk - perhaps some, but not all.

Yes you do have a right to defend yourself against your perceived enemy. No one can deny that.

That, 'since 1963 by the GREEKS' was then, this is now. If something can be worked out by the politicians, so be it. You can not live in mistrust forever.

If I said it once I said it 10 million times Bafidi. So long as RoC has the TCs’ hands shackled there can be no effort made against Turkey. First the RoC has to remove economic isolation of TCs. Your idea that TCs should resist Turkey when RoC cannot, is almost as laughable as the idea that Palestinian Authority should sort out Hamas when Israel itself tried and failed.

Back to the real world.

I find it hard to believe that All those forumers you mention are of the same ilk - perhaps some, but not all.

Yes you do have a right to defend yourself against your perceived enemy. No one can deny that.

I am sorry I have not read the whole thread..But...Did he mention the siege we have been under since 1963 by the GREEKS???? I mean...If you are going to warn us against dangers then be thorough...

Merhaba Zan. Nice to see you are around and keeping an eye on things.

That, 'since 1963 by the GREEKS' was then, this is now. If something can be worked out by the politicians, so be it. You can not live in mistrust forever.

May I say, with the greatest respect, that is a bullshit statement Deniz. It is like the chicken and the egg scenario...If this is now and then doesn't matter then accept the partition???PLUS.......What trust....What have they done to earn our trust????And before the spit hits the fan..I am referring to the "RoC" and not the ordinary Costas on the street. I was enjoying a nice bit of porn the other night and half way through, up pops a propaganda slogan on Cyprus and the so called "Turkish occupation"...Some of us see that as a sustained attack....Alone a passion killer!!!oops:

It seems we are in two separate jungles mate.....The bears shitting in your wood still stinks. :

My dear friend Zan, if you knew where actually the most of G/cs writting your North state and your's motherland's invation results then you could, maybe realised that actually G/cs give a sht of what you or your generals are saying.Maybe Junta of Athens made an agrrement with your mafua guys but they did not take into consideration the G/cs hard and bealives/ they just give a sht of what you want or what you can do -you and your mainland army- do you know why? because the most of G/cs are simple Zorbas- enjoy life and give you all the problems."All other malakies are for politicians"

I must have been away from the Forum for too long Epsilon because I did not understand what you said??? If maybe I did get the gist of what you meant then you have just slammed the door shut on the amnesty I was offering the "Zorbas"..... 8)

Knowing you lot, probably its somwhere in Turkey, but those roads are too perfect.

Reverse Trojan Horse' Cypriot style methinks
