Lets honour our pledge -Oracle & Richard B !

Postby miltiades » Tue Jun 16, 2009 9:12 pm

My memory is not as good as it once were and completely forgot a pledge that I along with Oracle and Richard B made a few months back just before the American elections .
The pledge was that whoever won the election the three of us would donate to the Limassol orphanage the sum of cy £100.00 each ie Euros 170.00 each.
Ayios Stephanos Home for sick children is a good cause and the kids can get a few luxuries with our donations.
The telephone number is 25 725 136 .
I shall call the home tomorrow and make my donation once they advice me the best method .
Any other donations would be greatly appreciated I'm sure by these misfortunate children.

Oracle as well as Richard B , very kindly pledged this sum , obviously their memory isn't better than mine , my wife reminded me when we drove past the Home last week when we were in Limassol. I told her I forgot and she repimanded me !!!

I offered to send you a cheque, but you suggested I hold until we meet ... that ain't ever going to happen ( ? ), in the near future.

It will be my utmost pleasure to donate ... But, for future reference, I hate public displays

Go to PM for details and you can make mine with yours (I guess I have to speak to you now  ) ..........

People PLEASE do NOT argue!

This can be easily sorted out which is where my multiple services on the forum come in handy. Image

You can all send me your cheques of £100.00 and I will ensure they go to a good cause… Image

The kids will get some little treats , I will insist , so what if you , I or anyone else makes a song and dance about it.
Years ago Ayios Stephanos was housed in the Limassol PEDIKI STEGI , now a car park , Enaerios opposite the Cafes and noisy motor bikes and cars.
I stayed at the home from 1953 to 1955 , it was an orphanage then called PEDIKI STEYI .
Years later it became Ayios Stephanos , taking care of little children with problems . Only recently found out the new location. Planning my next trip on July 17th attending the wedding of my late godmothers grandson , will definitely pay the Home a visit.

O, your personal details are safe with me , you must know that, and yes I have always been particularly adept at eliciting lowering of "ladies" defences !
GR take note how the MASTER operates !!!

I hereby proudly announce to the forum that I and Oracle spoke on the phone today , she sounded so young , I was taken aback somewhat.
She kindly donated what she pledged and more . I have spoken to Ayios Stephansos and the money will be sent tomorrow.
Thanks O!!
