Does the forum need younger blood? How old R U?

Postby umit07 » Tue Jun 16, 2009 3:23 pm

Since I've been a member to this forum I have noticed that we have had quite a few members joining, hardly any of them below the age of thirty. As far as I can make out there are many members in their late 30's early 50's along with another group of late 50's early 60's. Why is it so? I seem to see a trend that the older the member the more leveled headed they are towards the Cyprus issue. I am not sure whether it's because of age or past contact with "the other side". What are your thoughts on the subject? The only 25 and under members I know of on the forum are Palio, T-C, Lena and Sega. What's the cause of no younger members? I think it's important younger people contribute to debates here in order to get the feel of what the newer generations thoughts and expectations are. Do you think the forum needs some younger blood?, I personally do. :)

The cyproblem is important to be left to youngsters umit :lol: :lol:

on a more serious note,i think older generation is more familiar with problems of Cyprus so they have more to say..
Younger generations knowledge is limited, so they don't have much to say..

If you are looking for younger blood,you are in the wrong forum umit...

I think there is also a group of late 20s early 30s. It would be better if you grouped the ages every 5 years to better reflect this late/early thing. I don't know the age of everybody but I think there are more people that are about 25 or lower.

Having new members is good. The age is immaterial.

New ideas, concepts, views .... all welcome, all useful - even the most negative.

It's nice to see maturity developing in arguments (except in those in which it remains arrested :lol: ) ... as well as alliances forming, and dissents causing feuds.

It's a microcosm .... and far more 'real' than twittering. :D

[BTW ... are the above categories mental age or physical age? :wink: ]

@Iceman

Do you think it's better left to "seniors" (by age), who seem to do nothing more than run around in circles. I may have not even been alive during some of the key stone dates to do with Cyprus 58,60,63,74,83 but I would think I have a picture of what went on.

@Kiks

Kiks dude from your manner of expression, I'd have to say you sound pretty young don't grow up too soon. I feel like I've been the same since the age of 12. Most b**ches think I'm over 30 just because I don't act like a fricken moron.

@Sotos

Someone voted under 18, now who's the minor? It's not you is it Sotos? From your classifications of age I'd suspect you are in that group as well Sotos. I thought about intervals of five but the list would be too long. I guess members could further enlighten us with a post to complement their vote.

The young ones are only interested in mobile phones, the Internet, the opposite sex, and milking their parents... :?

Not all of us are like that GR, I'm past the get a new mobile every 6 months stage, this forum is on the net :lol: , the opposite sex is an important factor throughout life in general (sometimes it ain't worth the headache, man there are so many fu**cked in the head sheilas down under) when it comes to milking the parents. I personally try to keep that to a minimum by working part-time and taking a gov. loan for tuition expenses. So where do I fit in? :?
