Stables and horse riding on Cyprus.

Postby INGALILL » Sun Jun 14, 2009 11:44 am

Hey, does anyone could help me with it? As title says, Im searching for horseback riding...
Im moving in few weeks to North Cyprus and I would love to continue riding there. I've heard there are many stables.
Is it true? Anyone could give me a tips where I can find one?

If you're moving to the turkish millitary occupied part of Cyprus then good luck finding donkeys let alone horses.

Currently Im not on Cyprus. There are good people from UK who are living there and gave me already some tips about North Cyprus stables. Im glad there are many of them so I will be able to continue my hobby :)

I know quite a bit about stables. We've even managed to play a little bit of polo here. Its all in the govt controlled area though and i want to see if you'd have trouble crossing the green line before I advise you of the place.

Wouldn't want to get you into trouble.

Thats why I asked if you bought "exchange" property. You might get into trouble in the govt controlled areas.

nope i didnt bought any property... :) I dont have money for this... Im not planning to buy any either. If u have noticed im looking for something to rent cuz I got job offer at North Cyprus acording to my occupation. Thats why I will move there this summer. So far I was staying at occupied therytory (while I was lookinf for a job there) in rented half house which i was renting from greek old granny (very nice old lady), but I had to be back to my origin country to finish all things and mostly with studies (get diploma etc). Since I got the job I want to come back for some time and live similar life i had in my country. This means I want to continue my hobbies there. I dont have any property to own on Cyprus. Im looking for place to stay at the moment or otherwise I will sleep in the tent lol :)

Ok then. I go to Lapatsa

http://wikimapia.org/6616226/Lapatsa-Riding-School

They've got great facilities, both as a riding school and for dressage. The Head guy is also the coordinator for any polo games that are organised.
