I was at Stonehenge for the Summer Solstice on Monday Night / Tuesday Morning, was truley spectacular and a brilliant atmosphere. The solstice (apart from a few hours at the Winter Solstice) is the only day where the stones are completely open to public (no fence, you can go right up to them). As amplified music is banned, many people brought drums and flutes, etc, and there was a flame and flag procession which was pretty cool, but nothing was organised (except some food stalls, toilets, parking and lights), it's all what people brought with them (including drugs, which the police seemed to turn a blind eye to). Spoke to quite a few Greeks there too. Definitely would advise it to everyone, but of course you have to remember that it's a religious site to many people who visit there and should be treated with the same respect as a church or mosque.
