Does anyone know about the attack which happened last night involving two guys. We are hearing that the victim is on a life support machine?
A few people have mentioned this today and we cant seem to be able to find it on the news, does anyone know?

I heard that a male person was arrested. Apparently he caused these injuries to blows caused by punching. The news also stated that the arrested person had a background of martial arts.

Man critical after bar fight

A 46-YEAR-OLD Briton was yesterday in a critical condition after he was beaten during a drunken row in Paphos, police said.

The incident occurred at around 8.15pm on Tombs of the King Avenue on Friday.

Police have arrested a 45-year-old man on charges of attempted murder.

According to investigators, a row erupted between the duo at a local bar where they had been out having drinks with two other men. The fight, which appears to have been over financial differences, escalated into a punch-up on the busy street.

It is thought the victim received a blow to the face, causing him to fall to the ground and hit his head.

The 46-year-old was rushed to Paphos general hospital but due to the severity of his head injuries was transferred to Nicosia general hospital where he underwent emergency surgery to stop the bleeding and was admitted to Intensive Care.

Both victim and suspect are permanent residents of Cyprus, police said.

A Paphos court yesterday remanded the 45-year-old in six-day custody for further questioning.

Do you know how he is doing or know the name of the person who did this?
I think this is terrible, The thought of hurting someone els to this extent is beyond beliefe, I just cant get my head around it at all.
We have a friend who is a paramedic in the uk, and he has alot of simular call outs and he explains it appears to be a competetion as to who can cause damage to the head. its disgusting...
