With the approval of GREECE !!!!

Once again you demonstrate your idiocy.

Greece did not approve our entry into the EU. It was always a given that Greece would support our entry into the EU as a loyal ally that it is, but we did not require their permission or approval to do so, you silly idiot!

Greece just lobbied and fought for our entry into the EU, even to the point of threatening to veto other nations from EU accession.

That is what allies are for. Apart from that, Greece and Cyprus are separate nations entirely, and Cyprus does not require Greece's permission for anything.

Game over Mehmet.

Actually the biggest thanks goes to a Cypriot in the Greek Government at the time. Yiannos Kranidiotis, the greatest diplomat Cyprus has ever produced made it all possible through his intelligent use of diplomacy and veto threats via the Greek MFA.

Unfortunately we lost him shortly after he accomplished this life goal of his in the Hellenic PM's jet, when the plane hit a big airpocket and Yiannos and his son died.

If as you say he was the "greatest Cypriot diplomat " even above MAKARIOS, what was he doing working for the Greek Government instead of the Cyprus government ?

There are thousands of Cypriots living in Greece and many are politically active or hold influential positions.

Only a Turk can make a stupid comment like what you just did. You serve your country well!

Stop calling me a TURK , even more so you are mocking all TURKS by calling them STUPID. How do you expect to reunify CYPRUS on such thinking KANGAROO BOY !!!

Yes I would have to agree. Calling you a Turk would be tantamount to insulting Turkish Intelligence...Image

I am certain most TCs won't take insult though, because you are just a TMT Grey Wolf partitionist...

The fact that you're calling Makarios a diplomat has given me many clues about your knowledge of Cypriot politics.

So what would you call Makarios then ?

Hey Paphitis you really are something !!

First you state that only a TURK can make such stupid comments hence by deduction all TURKS are stupid !!

Now you are again clutching on straws by saying "calling you a TURK would be tantamount to insulting TURKISH INTELLIGENCE". Strange way of apologising to the TURKS. I am not too sure that most TC's will take it as a joke. As to the comment I am a TMT WOLF partionist, I have already rejected when you clearly agreed with my comments on hellenism and encouraged its support on the Cyprus Forum. I am really sorry but you are giving a poor image of yourself on the Cyprus forum even if you can get a couple of your friends to back you up. But as I have read it is not the first time you have got yourself into deep water.

2-0 palla al centro !!! as they say in Italy !!

Only a partitionist Turk can make such comments and this is clearly what you are.

True TCs, like Kikapu for instance, will never support anything other than a unified Cyprus based on True Democracy and Human Rights. You on the other hand have adopted Turkey's 2 state thesis, but since your aim is partition, I don't blame you at all.

It is time you drop the pretend GC act....It's over "Byron"!

We had elections, he was the Head of the Church which was the only organised entity the GC's had at the time and he got voted President. Diplomat he most certainly wasn't.

If as you say he was no diplomat, why did he remain in power until 1977?
My understanding was that he was a very able diplomat and was one of the primary individuals who fought for self-determination in the 50's.
