How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Old McDonald had a farm would be more appropriate than this meaningless and irrelevant anthem in which you cream your pants for.

No "dairy", we can't have that, because that is the "TRNC" National Anthem ...

You can either use "Is" and "reference" or "Are" and "references"!

...or the US State Department? Is Cyprus a baby cockroach in the same sewer as everyone else, or are Cypriots the ultimate perfection?

Are you asking us or telling us? If you've got a story to tell do it right.

I know that Aussies are ultimate perfection with their concentration camps. We love sticking it up Amnesty International and th UN whenever we get a chance.

Well I’ll be damned! Despite the Hara-Kiri, Paphitis rose from the dead and attained sainthood!

You can count yourself very lucky that I have a conscious and can't cause any damage to Cyprus either on the internet or otherwise.

You however, are showing your true hypocrisy.

There are no Human Rights abuses in Australia BTW. Just because there are some Amnesty International reports on Australia does not mean the country abuses Human Rights. There are laws in this country which are enforced and Australia makes no apology for that.

In other words, Amnesty International can get fucked!

Likewise, both Greece and Cyprus are SAINTS in the human rights arena, on par with Australia, and maybe even better. :D

Don't be so brash, young pup. You can't on the one hand discredit Amnesty International, and on the other hand use them as a lever against the τουρκομόγκολοι. While Australia's human rights record is not perfect, criticism of Australia's human rights record (or Greece's for that matter) by the τουρκομόγκολοι can be taken about as seriously as a Borat interview.

The τουρκομόγκολοι were called on their hypocrisy vis-a-vis human rights abuses by the Israelis when erdogan was told to "look in the mirror" by a IDF general following his criticism of Israeli human rights abuses during the IDF's Operation Cast Lead against the Palestinians.

The irony of Israel and the τουρκομόγκολοι trading barbs on human rights abuses is of course priceless. The best response erdogan could've given - "I looked in the mirror, and I saw Israel" - was of course one he couldn't give.

Young brash pups pick racially motivated signatures...

Amnesty International is not a credible source because I know exactly how illegal immigrants are processed and handled in Australia, and I can assure you that there are NO Human Rights Abuses.

What Amnesty International want Australia to do is allow these "poor" illegal immigrants free access into Australia because they are "poor" refugees. They are nothing more than "poor" economic refugees. Australia gives Permanent Residency to thousands of real refugees from all over the world. Illegal Immigration reduces our capacity to take in more.

These immigration laws actually work, because they have protected Australia from the social ills and destruction experienced by most EU countries. They have also allowed us to capture many Al Qaeda and Jamah Islamiyah terrorists, and some others who have severe criminal records in their country of origin, ranging from murder, to rape and drug trafficking.

Our border protection is a sovereign right and everyone else can get stuffed. Australia has embassies in just about every country in the world, so if anyone wants to come here, then the can apply formally. The alternative is to pay a human trafficker to try and get you to Australia. They will get caught and suffer the consequences I can assure of that. border Protection is so tight in Australia, and the technology utilised is the most sophisticated in the world. Every aircraft, ship and fishing dinghy is carefully screened and tracked.

So Australia spits on Amnesty International! :D

Amnesty International Reports re not worth 2 cents...

If you illegally migrate to Australia, you would have to be STUPID. If you import drugs into Saudi Arabia, you are even more stupid.

I could easily argue that our illegal immigration laws are the most humane of all, because people trafficking has virtually been eliminated in Australia.

So how can any of this be deemed a Human Rights violation??? :?

Australia has my utmost respect for not going down the same road that Europe has on immigration in particular the UK where immigration policies were "introduced" not by our government who were too busy conning the tax payer but by the immigrants themselves and those bodies that look after the interests of the so called asylum seekers. It is absurd that illegal immigrants , in their millions , are the ones making the rules. Our corrupt to the bone MPs have not got the faintest idea how many illegals are in the country.
Australia has , and I do hope she carries on , introduced legislation in order to benefit its own citizens and protect and maintain the Australian culture.
Many critisize Australian treatment of the Aboriginals by the state , but arent the Aboriginals "happy " in Australia because I believe very few emigrate to other countries.

Never mind ... it is ours and we are proud of it.

It represents all the people of Cyprus ...

For the person who asked for its translation, on my (now locked) thread ...

Here is Rudyard Kipling's translation ...

The Cypriot National Anthem

We knew thee of old,
Oh, divinely restored,
By the lights of thine eyes
And the light of thy Sword

From the graves of our slain
Shall thy valour prevail
As we greet thee again-
Hail, Liberty! Hail!

Long time didst thou dwell
Mid the peoples that mourn,
Awaiting some voice
That should bid thee return.

Ah, slow broke that day
And no man dared call,
For the shadow of tyranny
Lay over all:

And we saw thee sad-eyed,
The tears on thy cheeks
While thy raiment was dyed
In the blood of the Greeks.

Yet, behold now thy sons
With impetuous breath
Go forth to the fight
Seeking Freedom or Death.

From the graves of our slain
Shall thy valour prevail
As we greet thee again-
Hail, Liberty! Hail!

A translation in English by Rudyard Kipling in 1918

Lyrics: --Dionysios Solomos, 1824
Music: Nikolaos Mantzaros, 1828

Did you know Dionysios Solomos mother (Aggeliki Nikli) had Cypriot roots. 8)
