Worst Humans Rights Record

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

Worst Humans Rights Record

Postby Sotos » Fri Jun 12, 2009 1:45 pm

As every smart person knows there is no perfect country and all countries can have some human rights violations. But which are the WORST?

Three years ago the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, the body which oversees the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), found that Britain has one of the worst human rights records up there with Turkey, Ukraine and Russia.

Tukey and Russia were easily the worst offenders in a league table of European Court of Human Rights judgments for 2007, released Wednesday by the court's president.

Those want to prove that Cyprus and Greece are not perfect are idiots. Who said we are prefect? We are normal. The worst is Turkey and by showing that others are not perfect doesn't change this!

All civilised countries are doing their best to address all their problems; and in an ideal world, one day, there will be relative success.

Until then ... we have to concern ourselves with the one and only enemy occupant of Cyprus .... Turkey! It's their conduct we have to worry most about, because we are their victims and they continue to want to enslave us.

Sotos, If you want to present the forum with a global Human Rights abusers list then you should learn to conduct proper research from CREDIBLE SOURCES instead of quoting a couple of junk articles.

Here’s where you should be looking…

The United Nations Commission on Human Rights
http://www.unhchr.ch/html/menu2/2/chr.htm
http://www.unhchr.ch/index.htm

The Human Rights Council
http://www2.ohchr.org/english/bodies/hrcouncil/

UN Human Rights
http://www.ohchr.org/EN/Pages/WelcomePage.aspx

Amnesty International
http://www.amnesty.org/

The Human Rights Watch
http://www.hrw.org/

Now go back and start again and this time do it RIGHT, or stick to hot mobile phone discussing…

 I am doing it exactly right. Do you dispute this facts.

Tukey and Russia were easily the worst offenders in a league table of European Court of Human Rights judgments for 2007, released Wednesday by the court's president.

Some 319 judgments finding at least one violation were issued against Ankara, eight of which concerned "torture" and 23 "inhuman or degrading treatment," according to the court's report.

Moscow was a clear second with 175 violations, followed by Ukraine (108) and Poland (101).

The majority of Russian complaints concerned war-torn Chechnya.

So 319 violations by Turkey. The 4th worst has 101 violations. Less than 1/3rd of Turkey! Greece is even better since it is not in the worst 4. Enough said!

Get Real you should learn to make proper arguments. To say that a country is uncivilized you need to COMPARE it with countries that you think are civilized and prove that this country is WORST than other countries. What you post just shows that Greece is not perfect. So what? No country is perfect. What matters is how a country stacks when compared to other countries.

Sotos, where is Israel, where is China, where are so many other countries that are well known Human Rights abusers???

Where is that bloody list?

Your junk thread should be titled…

“My laughable attempt to justify Greece’s atrocious human rights record by attempting to divert attention elsewhere in the most amateur manner!”

Now get out of my sight you incompetent idiot!

That is right GR! The list was just from the European Court of Human Rights but if you take the whole world there are several other countries which are almost as bad as Turkey. That makes Greece record comparatively very good doesn't it? The only thing you show is that Greece is not perfect. So what? Who ever said that Greece was perfect?

My laughable attempt to justify Greece’s atrocious human rights record by attempting to divert attention elsewhere in the most amateur manner!

How can Greece's human rights record be atrocious when is many times better than the one in Turkey and many other countries?

Now get out of my sight you incompetent idiot!

You are incompetent because you present facts that only show that Greece is not perfect and you claim that your facts show that Greece is the worst or among the worst. But the facts don't show this. To show who is the worst you have to compare with others. And when you compare Greece with others Greece is among the best. Turkey is among the worst.
