Could it be that we dont give them any other choice ??
Recently the English school in Nicosia which has a sizable number of T/C students , had an end of term event where many T/C students attended. Can you guess which f..ng national anthem the prats played !! Then we wonder why they cling to Turkey .

Objective , unbiased observations Fred , easily adopted when the restraining chains of "foreign nationalism" are discarded and replaced with the Cypriot identity that denotes all Cypriots as just Cypriots , are you ready for it Fred ?

Milt, I've been ready for it for 20 years, the question is, is the rest of the Cypriots ready for it?

I wonder what the international repercussion would be if an unarmed survey ship is sunk by units of "NATO's best". Worse still, if the ship is arrested in the high seas, because they are still high seas no matter what the status is of the seabed.

It would make wonderful headlines on CNN and FOX.

It happens to be the National Anthem, and I don't think you deserve to be allowed back in Cyprus with such an attitude.

Why shouldn't the TC kids listen to the National Anthem? How would you feel if the few million Muslims in the UK demanded their own National Anthem?

Forget Fred, he isn't ready to put his pants on yet let alone "drop his restraining chains of foreign nationalism" as you call it.

Speaking of which, may i expect the same passion from you when dealing with another foreign nationalism plague on this island? The British bases? Are you as disgusted as I am that the awful "God shave the Queen" anthem is played on Cypriot soil every morning by some chav Sergeant from Sunderland?

Correction brains . It happens to be the national anthem of an independent nation , a member of the UN , EU and all other International organizations. It has its own government elected by its own citizens .
The Greek national anthem , especialy the bit that Palamas wrote whilst having a rest , ke xana pros tin doxa trava ... what on earth was he on about , Greece resting for generations under the Ottomans , carried on resting in 1964 right through 1974 , lazy bloody cow !!
The Greek foreign anthem is not representative of the Cypriot people , the words are nonsense dated poppycock ..se gnorizo apo tin .... tou spathiou ............ as for the holy bones , what bloody ballooney .
The point is Cyprus and the Cypriots must come of age , embrace their own national anthem and I suggest the following as far more appropriate and representative of the Cypriot people as a whole.
SE FOUMAAAARO ME MANIA POU TO HAAARAMA TOU FOU
SE FOUMAAARO ME MANIA APSE NAAAAPSOUME LALO
STON TSIARO CHE STIN SOUVLAN PROTI IMASTE EMIS
APSE NAPSOUME LALO SOU CHE PELLARES ME LALIS.
I ELLADA XAPOSDENI ALA EMIS FOUMAROUMEN
APSE NAPSOUMEN MEN LALO SOU ....

"""""It happens to be the National Anthem, and I don't think you deserve to be allowed back in Cyprus with such an attitude.""""
Who is going to stop me , A Cypriot born who adores his country of birth and of the birth of his ancestors has more right to be in Cyprus than bloody inferior complex sufferers who readily dismiss their nation and reject its identity in favour of either Greece or Turkey , both unsophisticated street phlegm expellers that are miles behind Cyprus in every aspect , including smoking and souvla eating !

I'm a proud G/C , UTTERLY DIFFERENT FROM A KALAMARAS .

As you can see I fully respect the foreign anthem
