Well it's true isn't it? Doest northern Cyprus have many Casinos? Couldnt the money being spent on these Casinos be spent on the aparent children that the evil GC government is causing to starve?

Nobody is starving in North Cyprus. Where do you get your news?

We already have the use of two bases here in Cyprus Akrotiri and Dekalia. We don't need another.

Garbitsch, i've scene so many TC try to make out that northern Cyprus is in poverty because of RoC refusing to allow the stoel ports in the north to be open.

As for JustAnAmerican, well thats every reason why the sovereign bases should be scrapped.

As if US needed one more, Northern or Southern Cyprus would give! The world is having enough troubles with the American military movement as it is, why make another!?!

Not legally you don't... plus, the SBAs cannot be transferred to another country by the UK... if the UK ever decides to pull out (which it won't), the areas have to be returned to the RoC government.

but next time you bomb a few countries for oil you could have a spare. maybe store some potentially leathal weapons on the island. a few nuclear war-heads or maybe some huge store of anthrax
