Here in the states the iphone 3GS is being advertised for $199.99, the one feature that surpasses all other iphones and i needed while in cyprus last december was that you can use the new 3GS as a modem to your computer to hook up to the internet. The only place i could get on the net was at a cafe or hotel. With my regular 8gig i phone i could get on the net but with my air card nothing...now i guess i will be able to

With the now older iPhone 3G, the free software upgrade 3.0 allows "tethering", use as a modem to a laptop.

yes btu the 3gs the hardware is much faster it allowes video recording and a few other features that 3g will not have.. but i dont think it makes it worth upgrading.. apple just add features that phones have had for many years
