Christos je Panayia! - that's a big, big rip-off mate.

Here in GB the prices are iPhone 3G S 16GB - £440.40
iPhone 3G S 32GB - £538.30. Get on a plane mate.

I hear that the 3GS is not that much different from the older 3G that I've got with the 3.0 update.

yes there is not that many difference to make it worth the upgrade if you already have the 3g..

also you say uts 538 english pounds but if i where to buy it in england it would be locked to o2 so i would not really be able to use it if i buy from england... plus the new iphone is not hacked yet so i would not be able to use it as a iphone i would be stuck with a locked phone.. which is why i would have to buy it factory unlocked if i where to buy it

Good old EU, bringing down the cost of mobile roaming including a cap of 1E per MB on data.

This from the GB BBC technology news site....

Cost of texting abroad comes down
1 July 09 07:20

The cost of sending text messages from your mobile phone when you are overseas in the European Union has come down.
The maximum charge for sending a text is now 11 euro cents ($0.15; 9.4p) plus sales tax.
It is the first time that text charges have been capped. The previous EU average was 28 cents.
The price of making a call is capped at 43 cents a minute, down from 46 cents, while the price of receiving a call is capped at 19 cents, down from 22 cents.
"The roaming-rip off is now coming to an end," said EU Telecoms Commissioner Viviane Reding.
The cost of transferring a megabyte of data is capped at one euro.
Also, mobile operators have been forced to charge for calls by the second after the first half minute, instead of rounding up to the nearest minute.
Many mobile operators have fought against the new caps, which are expected to significantly reduce their profits from roaming charges.

i dont know how much so easy charges but i am ok with it :)

my nokia from 5 years ago has more and better features then the iphone 3gs and apple basically tell you what you can and cant do with your iphone they cripple all the features and they show off they are adding features which cell phones have had for many years.. ( wow look we are adding MMS OMG cell phoines have only had this feature for many years) they dont allow you to put a simple theme on your phone or change your sms tone or send aND RECIEVE A file with the bluetooth its so stupid how much they limit you its like if you go to buy a car and the man tells you how much your allowed to drive it and when.. you wouldent buy the car would you?

this is exactly what apple are doing and they are sh********** beeep beep heads and i am going to buy a nokia n97 where everything isent crippled and they dont tell u how to use your phone and has 10000 more features then the iphone. im going to give my iphone to my younger brother and get me the nokia which is so much better.

apple ur just a load of crap and not worth the time of day.. its no wonder microsoft products sell so much more and apple NOT.

i also thoguht the iphone 3gs would have majour changes and a new design but its the same as the 3g

there is a jailbreak and unlock for the 3gs now but every firmware they relese you have to wait for a new jailbreak and unlock and its just to much hassle unless you pay extra money and get factory unlocked then you still have to wait for jailbreak to get any half decent apps apps which the iphone should already have.. and my nokia from 5 years ago has more features then the iphone 3gs
