Woman, quit reading Greek mythology books! Image

The head on the left (West) symbolizes Rome, the head on the right (East) symbolizes Constantinople.

They were the TWO Roman empires. Nothing to do with Greece or Greeks!

Oh, so now we have TWO Roman Empires ... Why would they not be considered as one joint Roman Empire?

Keep revising history to suit your imagination,... you have the makings of a fine Young Turk!

Then, why was the Earlier name for the Byzantine Empire ... The Greco-Roman Empire?

Why does the head facing East symbolise Constantinople? ... Because this was where the Greek Empire was concentrated ....

Your level of understanding is paltry.

It wasn't... the Greeks made it up!

The damage Greek school has done to your brain is irreversible...

There was no such thing as a "Greek Byzantium Empire". It's a load of rubbish manufactured for Greek history books which you swallowed... hook, line, and sinker!

The Greco-Roman Empire? Image

Do you know what the Greeks have effectively done in their history books?

They’ve taken everyone who had overrun and smashed them to pieces and called them their own!

Of course, everything with the word 'Greek' ceased to exist in your vacuous mind and was instead all confined to mythology ... so convenient for a Turk, such as you, but nothing to do with reality ...

Yialoussa, did you not say…

“…the empire was Greek as the language used was Greek.”

Well, if you go by THAT criteria then the official language of Athens during Ottoman rule was… NOT GREEK!

So that makes you a Turkish little whore!

The fact is the eastern Roman empire saw itself as Roman - not Greek. Its people saw themselves as Romans - not Greeks. Likewise, the western Roman empire, which also saw itself and its people as Roman, not and never 'Italian'.

In the west they spoke Latin, from which Italian (and other Romance languages) evolved. In the east they spoke Koine from which modern standard Greek (and the Cypriot, Cretan and other idioms) evolved.

Nationalist elements within both of these the two modern nation states, Greece and Italy, have chosen to attach themselves to and identify with the glories of these two former ancient empires – many hundreds of years after the event – in a bid to create a mythology with which to inspire and bind their repective peoples, as part of deluded expansionist aims.

"I believe in Rome, the Eternal, the mother of my country. I believe in the genius of Mussolini and in the resurrection of the Empire."
Creed of the Balilla, youth movement, Fascist Italy.

Mussolini's Fascist movement was eventually to bring destruction and humiliation to Italy. Greece's nationalist movement, during the military dictatorship, did likewise to Greece in the period to 1974. It also destroyed Cyprus and its people suffer to this day.

So fcuk your glorious Byzantine Empire!

Being selective in what I said, yeah just typical of you. I said:-

Read what I high lighted, most of the inhabitants were Greek and their language/culture was Greek.

The only Turkish whore here is you, you are one of their best friends.
