TECHNICAL COMMITTEE CONVENES FOR 2 DAY MEETING IN BAF TO INSPECT OTTOMAN MONUMENTS

Cultural Heritage is taking center stage today at a two day conference to be held in the BaF (Paphos) region.
The two day visit to the region will see the inspection of cultural monuments dating back to the Ottoman period as well as other places of cultural interest.

A joint technical committee set up within the framework of the Cyprus negotiations process ‘Cultural Heritage Technical Committee’ is holding a two day meeting in the Paphos region as of tonight.
They will also be examining works of art belonging to the Ottoman times in the region.

The members of the Advisory Committee will examine areas in need of restoration in the Paphos(Baf) area.

UN Secretary General’s Special Advisor for Cyprus Alexander Downer is also attending the meeting.
