Everyday i do talks with lots of people from both side of the island ..... result ..... both side of the public opinions are faraway from each other ..... very clearly there is no solution in 2009 or 2010 ..... both sides are playing different type of music ..... by looking or talking to people they all wants solution but both sides acceptions and future plans are very different from each other .... less than 20% of total island population understands each other needs or feeling ......

No Hope from me .....................

Totally agree, we are 2 very different communities who want and see things differently, you cannot force a marriage between 2 sides that do not want it....time to wake up to the fact that agreed division isthe only real option we have before us.

It can not be permanent VP. It would be like a keg of gunpowder waiting to blow up.
I am also pessimistic (def. not in 2009), but let there be a peaceful solution.

Just exactly how did you arrive to your above conclusion from the simple poll you held.?? :? :? :? :?

It was like as if you asked how Ramadan should be observed, but then you turned around and celebrated Christmas instead.!

So much for your polling techniques.!

49 years is proof enough.

WHat i don't understand is how you went from considering the problem solved in 74 to Erdogan and Talat screamin like teenage girls in a Justin Timberlake concert everytime they want to tell the world how much they want to solve this problem and how quickly.

When did it become a problem to solve again?

If you know the other side will not play ball and do not really want a give and take solution then you try to show the world that the problem is not you and that itsimpossible to agree anything with a side that will reject everything out before them. Then when there is impass other questions will be raised which will not be to the liking of GCs, do you know get our drift? I have 100% faith in the GCs to reject every or any solution put before them as there will always be things included which they will not like or adamantly object to.

We are not the ones standing in th way deniz, its the GC desire to take full control of the whole island and turn it into a GC state run by GCs with us as just another minority fighting against racisim and discrimination in our own homeland.

Your poll has proved nothing of the kind.

72% believe no solution this year, this is nothing new its been 49 years and we are incapable to living together.

You really are clutching at straws and dodgy straw polls mate to justify your wet-dreams of partition.

Try starting a poll with two choices......

1. Will there ever be a solution?

OR

2. There will never be a solution.

Bet, you get a very different result.

You are clearly the one clutching at straws, why dont you open such a poll and see the results. I have my result which confirms we are incapable and will never unite, this is a good as it gets.

Then the politicians hand should be on the peoples pulse. We have to give them time. We cant rush them. Lets see what will transpire.

What I find shocking is that you have more faith in Turkish Cypriot leadership with a solid 30 year track record of negligence, corruption, and sheer incompetence, yet have the audacity to criticize that Greek Cypriot dominance would entail racism and discrimination, when in actual fact they have a 20 year solid track record of modernization and prosperity for all their citizens!

So how stupid can you possibly get VP?

Thats why you will never understand TCs, they do not and will never trust GCs unless there are safeguards and guarantees in place to make the majority act in the best interests of everyone without racisim and discrimination that was so rampant during the 1963 to 1974, this is your real track record when living with us and no amount of saddles will make you a race horse, you are a donkey trying to make out you are a race horse.
