A joint art exhibition has been promoted at the buffer zone.

The UN Secretary General’s Special Adviser for Cyprus Alexander Downer is hosting the exhibition where the drawings of some Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot artists are being displayed.

In a statement concerning the issue, Mr Downer said work of arts which is being displayed at the exhibition is only a little sign of the potential the island has and he has been encouraged by the cooperative structure of the of the exhibition that has been planned by Turkish Cypriot and Greek Cypriot artists.

The exhibition is taking place at the rooms where Talat and Christofias are holding peace talks.

Motifs of the drawings are about Cyprus.

The official inauguration of the series of exhibitions will take place in July with the contributions of different artists from both sides of the island.
