Green Light from Talat ...... Erenköy (kokina) will open for civilians settlement . He called upon the villagers of Erenköy .... who ever wants return back to settle down in abandoned TC village they can go and they must get help from the government to reconstruct they are homes and build up all necessary needs for they are living.

Now, 35 years after the invasion we learn that the place was not open to civilians! So who was living there all this time?

We all can see through the ploy, naturally, but let us pretend that we are naive and do not understand.

What sort of pollocks is this?

I know some people from the nearby Free Village of Pyrgos and relatives at the hamlet of Mansoura close by and it's common knowledge there were no civilians there this past 35 years.

Let's not get too exited. Talat does not rule by decree and the UBP is back in power, not his party, so he cannot single-handedly give permission for civilians to resettle in this area that has anyway been commandeered by the Turkish army. According to the article, Talat is expressing the opinion that:

Yeşilırmak Kapısı’nın açılması ve Erenköy’e ulaşımın sağlanabilmesi sonrasında “KKTC toprağı olan” bölgeye sivillerin yerleşebileceğini

After the Yeşilırmak/Limnidis crossing has opened and communications have been provided to Erenköy/Kokkina, it will be possible to settle civilians in the area "which is TRNC territory"

It sounds more like posturing to me. Remember, his party is now the main opposition in parliament.[/quote]

Don't worry...He knows exactly what the rest of us think...The Orams case has brought the big boys into the battle as well.......The most unifying ruling for the TCs to date....Did I say thanks 8)
