The Wikipedia war.....

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The Wikipedia war.....

Postby Expatkiwi » Fri Jun 17, 2005 11:36 pm

To those of you who have not been reading up on the various Cyprus posts in Wikipedia, I invite you to look at what has been going on over there (http://en.wikipedia.org).
There has been a lot of edits and re-edits, as well as accusataions and arguments. I have come in for more than my favor share of it as I favor the TRNC.
The problem is that Wikipedia wants as many neutral posts as possible and it's simply not as easy to do as the Cyprus dispute is a difficult issue at best. I had thought that in my case (expatriate New Zealander now a U.S. citizen), I could look at it in a neutral sense, but I just could not do so: I ended up taking sides. It showed in various posts of mine.
So.....I'm now on this forum hoping to have a not-so-nasty interchange on information. It's probably a forlorn hope, but I gotta try.....

I have come in for more than my favor share of it as I favor the TRNC.

So what makes you favor a pseudo state that was created by ethnically cleansing this area of Cyprus by the majority of population that have existed there for 3500 years, and the sole reason that exists today is the presence of 40.000 Turkish troops that force this illegality to continue?

When a member of your family is murdered, raped etc, let us know. We will favor this action too. then lets see if you will consider us as "neutral".

There is nothing neutral when supporting things like ethnic cleansing, sorry.
