My mistake about the 8 of Gyoneli, there were 8 and not 4 as I wrote. I think they were all from Kontemenos village. In fact I know quite well the son of one of the murdered people we are colleagues at work.
The Anan plan is miles better than partition and it would have been much better had Papadopoulos try to negotiate it. In fact, the only negotiation he did was in New York when he tried to “better” plan no 3 but of course he was either an acami (novice) or on purpose he tried to get as bad a plan as possible so that he could sell the “no” vote, because he is dead against the idea of a bicommunal, bizonal federation which means political equality for the two communities and sharing of power.
Dhavlos is right about those aspects of the plan he mentioned but unfortunately history cannot be deleted and this is the price we have to pay for past mistakes and crimes. Regarding the settlers, one needs to look at how the TC’s voted in the referendum and it is plain obvious that in places where the settlers are in large numbers the “no” vote was overwhelming, i.e. in the Karpas region. They voted according to Rauf’s desires.
The person that does not want to “fall so low” is accusing me of murdering all the inhabitants of a TC village but of course in doing so he maintains his dignity. Well, actually one young Turkish boy managed to escape my bullets and later on he came face to face with his mother. The fruit of their unholy alliance is constantly tormented, one day he is Dr Jekyll the next day he is Mr. Hyde.
