went there today - i thought the traffic would be terrible but strangely enough it was fine. roads nearly empty.

to me it looked like two thirds of the shops were empty (most of the whole upstairs is empty). the rest of the shops were pretty uninteresting except for Public, which was the busiest.

the mall is huge by cyprus standards. i think it may be too big for this town - its at least double if not 3 times the size of the mall of cyprus. build quality looks quite bad as well, like they finished it in a big hurry. lots of tatty edges.

ice rink is small but looks fun

no kiddy play area at all. the 'food court' is pretty shoddy - burger king and one or two others, including a very overpriced chinese

is this destined to be another fysko lotus plaza ???

time will tell

from the photos it does look less classy than the Mall of Cyprus. And no Cinema in this one. But for somebody like me who hates shopping in the streets because of lack of parking and the heat I think it could be good if they have the right shops.

there weren't any people upstairs because the shops did not open there yet (also many cafes and the kiddy land that are planned to open in early june) and i believe that's the reason it wasn't so crouded. The company announced earlier that all shops will be working after june 6
unfortunately they decided to do the opening before finishing it, stupid move imo...But still, tiffany is far better than mall of Cyprus.
Of course lemeshianoi did not block the roads for a mall, they are not cavemen that run to find out what a mall is like xoraites did

A friend of mine was interested in renting a small (70sqm) shop in the mall. Guess how much he was quoted ? Euros 4500 a month !

Can anyone verify this ?

I have a baaaaad feeling on this one... I think it might go belly up if there continues to be very low traffic through that place. A shop would need a very high turnover to be able to pay those rents and no people visiting = no sales

If opening day is anything to go by, visitor numbers will be very low.

It depends who you go to and how quickly the space has sold. For the same 70m unit, family were quoted 5000 Euro per month on a two year binding lease.
Prices will drop I am sure, if they have not already.
