The Cypriot identity is a myth

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

The population here is 850,000. WOrk it out, I'll even let you throw in those 3rd generation kids that think Cyprus is a bit like Marbella but with a lot more of those annoying relatives.

It all depends how you look at it.
I did say we are more than 1/3 of the entire Cypriot nation, therefore since we are about 300 thousand UK Cypriots and the ENTIRE Cypriot nation ie Cypriots in Cyprus , we are therefore just over 35% of the ENTIRE CYPRIOT nation !!

So do those Brits call themselves of Gibraltese Ethnicity because they live on the recognised Rock of Gibraltar?... No they are British!

It's not analogous. I'm bored of this. Here's some Brits that have developed a keen sense of Gibraltese "Ethnicity". (I hate that word).

If it's ill-thought out it won't catch on so you've nothing to worry about.

Oracle wrote:Nothing you or GR! have said could prevent them from doing just that!

Don't worry me and GR! are giving up on Cyprus and are preparing a double-act for Britain's Got Talent. We're called 'Bello-Gibrei'. I'm thinking of tattooing a map of Greece on my belly just to illustrate the point.

Can i ask who elected you to represent us diaspora Cypriots?

No you can't. It's a stupid question.

Us? Us? Who are you talking on behalf of?

I'll thank you kindly to note I only ever talk on behalf of myself.

Hello.

I am talking on behalf of myself and the Cypriots that i know.

You guys are showing us these diaspora figures as if we share your views, we in the diaspora don't. Sorry to disappoint you.

Prove it. Or just talk on behalf of yourself. You're much more credible that way.

Sorry.. I don't believe that number. Don't know about the other countries but that number is hugely inflated by my estimations.

I greeted you twice, you don't want to reciprocate?

I dont need to prove anything as i am not the one who is making foolish statements.

Good night.

Sorry Joe. Hello! My neglect of formalities was borne out of your rather irritating and, forgive me, silly initial question to me.

joe wrote:I dont need to prove anything as i am not the one who is making foolish statements.

Which statements do you think are foolish and why? My mind (however brilliant) cannot read yours. If you're going to object, put some meat on the bones; otherwise, I've nothing to devour.

Just don't say 'we' and 'us' and 'you' and 'I' will get on fine.
