I am not the one offering Cypriot Ethnicity to anyone. Look to GR!, Miltiades, The Cypriot etc

All that is on offer, is Cypriot Nationality, which has to go through the correct legal channels, via the RoC.

Re "gamimene pou tous tourkous, James_mav," this is my reply to your previous post, in case you have not seen or had "forgotten" it! Why don't you just give a reply to the questions I ask you? Is it because you have no answer to give, and instead the only thing you know is how to "kourouklizese" the Greek flag and go to make "parelasi" every 1st of April and when there is "mnimosino tou Griva," without seen the "aggouri pou mas embiksate" in 1974? "Etsi epathete ree, vratzi en eshi o kolos sas, tzie girevkete tin elliniki simaia gia feretze!" "Pe mas re ksevrakoti Mariori inta lisi protinis tzie intalos na tin petichoume, pe mas na doume an eshis ypothesi?" "E' nartei i Ellada na dkioksei tous tourkous re, opos irten to '74, pe mas na doume?" "Oksa e' na fioun pou monoi tous, pou sas thoroun na sirnete veggalika tzie tsakres mesa sta gipeda opote pezei to Apoel tzie o Apollonas?" "Pe mas ree???"

So now I'm the turk James Bond, sowing the seeds of dissent, plotting the downfall of the Republic of Cyprus. When will you understand that it is pointless to negotiate and offer concessions to the turks? Offering them no quarter in the 60's and 70's was the correct option, and offering them no quarter is the correct option now. You cannot dissolve the Hellenic nature of Cyprus just to get away with taking the soft option of offering olive branches to turks and letting them infiltrate the nation. Imagine Cypriot guardsmen saluting a tc vice president! The current anomalous situation is transitory, necessary pain for inevitable gain.

"James_mav," why don’t you instead just suggest what kind of solution you envision as the final outcome of the Cyprus issue, and how do you suggest we arrive to it in the first place? Why don’t you tell us what is it that you aspire, and more importantly, how it will be achieved? How do you plan to kill the 1960 international agreements on Cyprus, that like it or not have established the Republic of Cyprus as a bi-communal state; and how do you plan to kill all the UN resolutions since 1977, that call for a solution of the Cyprus issue on the basis of a bi-zonal and a bi-communal federation? Tell us how do we overcome all the above and arrive to your desired form of solution, while at the same time we also have the 1974 “aggouri” that your likes have managed to dig into our “kolos,” with 36% of Cyprus under occupation? Tell us how we have to proceed to your moronic and utopian solution that will renter the TC community into a mere minority in the whole of Cyprus? C’mon, do tell us your plans so that everybody sees who is the moron in this forum?

Cypriot Ethnicity

Go on… you know you want to!

To how many Anatolian Settlers would you offer this honour?

You of all people should know my views on every aspect of the Cyprus aspect.
Settlers , just to clarify , are not Cypriots but imports from Turkey in order to alter the demographics of the island. Don't ask stupid questions .
One more clarification. I'm a Greek Cypriot , not a Greek and above all a Cypriot . I do not hate the Greeks I just simply haven't much time for them, I prefer my own people , all Cypriots , including my old mate the singing sensation Kafenes !!

Why is that a silly question? Because you don't like the answer, perhaps?

My Kafenes is more Cypriot than you, btw, because he has a proud self-respecting ethnicity and is a legal Cypriot National on top ... something you lack.

If you are going to offer Cypriot ethnicity, as though it grew on trees, prepare to offer to all, simply because they "say so" and as that is what they want ... including Anatolian Settlers who no longer want to be "Turks"!

A LEGAL CYPRIOT NATIONAL THAT I'M NOT!!!! What , born in Stroumbi the Great and I don't qualify ??
O , do you read a post before you answer or is ...dementia beginning to take a hold of you !!!

That you claim some relative married someone of another ethnicity at some point, may or may not contribute to your overall/partial ethnicity. But it makes no difference to your Nationality.

So, you may be ethnically Turkish, Cyprus-born with Cypriot citizenship (Nationality) if you recognise the RoC.

This is my take on it which would lead to the most harmony ..... :D

Oh dearest Turk/TC hater; the only way to shut you up is to provide you with an ancestral lineage. I can not, but I am still a Cypriot whatever you say. Btw, I have no problem with my identity. That is a GCproblem and a few TC too.

Whats it to you anyway. You are half Greek. I think its you with the problem.

I am sorry you see fit to take the ethnicity view as paramount to all I said. But I guess, what irks, is that you have to recognise the RoC to claim to be a Cypriot, for the sake of harmony.

Your 'racist' comment, if I took it to extreme, would make me more GC not less. But a whole Cypriot is my Nationality, and that is the way modern Cyprus has gone.

The Cypriot Nationality represents citizens committed to democracy, from all walks, and where all are equal and respect the ethnic/human rights of others. I am sorry you do not see fit to view yourself as a Cypriot National ... for that is all you can claim, and that is a heftily substantial honour.

So, by you telling me I cannot have a say on matters Cypriot, because I am half Greek i.e. because of my ethnicity, makes you one of the biggest 'racists' currently doing the rounds on the forum ....

Nowhere in my posts have I rejected the RoC.

I may not be a Cypriot National, my ID was removed in 1964 by the officials at the airport. But should I wish to, I do not doubt that I could get the piece of paper making me a citizen of Cyprus. That would have no bearing on my Cypriotness. Perhaps thousands of east Europeans have the said pice of paper. It does not make them more Cypriot myself.

I am no racist, but you seem to enjoy dictating to all.

All I expected you to say was that you in fact were a Cypriot. I had no issue with that; if that is what you felt you are.

But, likewise you are no more a Cypriot National than the East Europeans you refer to, who may have legal Cypriot Nationality. I have already explained to you, and perhaps you can pass it on to some TCs, that all those with Cypriot Nationality, under our democracy are EQUAL. What I do not desire is a return to the days when TCs were 'worth' more than any other legal Cypriot National, by virtue of governmental control.

You still seem to have trouble accepting everyone is now equal, once they have legal Cypriot Nationality :? Don't resent those legal Cypriot Nationals, just because they are East European and you think you are more "equal" because you call yourself of Cypriot ethnicity. They have had to earn it, at least, by respecting the RoC as the government of Cyprus.

May I suggest you follow Miltiades, and ponder over what it means to acquire Cypriot Nationality, above your ethnicity .... and forget these euphemisms of degrees of Cypriotness, as we have covered all that before.
