The Cypriot identity is a myth

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

But you are half Greek, aren't you?

My mother is mainland Greek, but my father and I were born on Cyprus.

Such mixing between those born in Greece and those in Cyprus has been common for thousands of years.

Is there a problem?

No. Mixing is not a problem. It's an enrichment.

I am from Cyprus not Greece. I hold on to my Cypriot culture not Greek.

Oracle wrote:Unlike you, (and GR! etc) I am comfortable with the dual notion of having a political/geographical Nationality identifier, as well as a cultural/ ethnic identifier.

My cultural identifier is Cypriot. My national identifier is British.

Oracle wrote:My life and theirs is richer for both ... not less.

It is you who is denying something of your make-up, not I, or them.

I am entirely comfortable with my make-up and deny myself nothing.

Oracle wrote:Would I have less rights under your government to call myself a Greek origin Cypriot? Or my son a Scot/Greek origin Cypriot? ....

What are you talking about. You are a Greek origin Cypriot.

Oracle wrote:Because at the moment, the RoC does not deny anyone a cultural identifier when it offers the Cypriot Nationality/citizenship.

According to the racist 1960 constitution imposed on Cypriots by foreigners there are only two identifiers.

Oracle wrote:I think it is you who is behaving like the BNP by forcing people to deny a very important Human acquired characteristic, that of ethnicity/culture.

Hey, you don't have to vote for me in the elections.

Oracle wrote:Well then you have to remove your vragga  for that is an ethnicity meme.

My archithkia would frighten the life out of you. And would leave you in no doubt of my Cypriot credentials.
