Does Talat really want unification?

How can we solve it? (keep it civilized)

About the subject. I think TRNC should give Varosha back to its previous owners, without even demanding anything. We should not be demanding things for the things that does not belong to us.

NONE OF IT BELONGS TO TC EXCLUSIVELY! When are you going to get this Ottoman 'conquering' characteristic out of your head.

The whole of northern Cyprus belongs to the RoC and all Cypriots in general.

As always, truth depends on the observer

Actually, in this case I have to say that I am a bit sad that Talat refused this offer (if this is what really happened...); a joint administration by TCs and GCs would have been an excellent first step, together with the return of Varosha. It would have been a signal... But for some of the politicians' statements, I have my own interpretation...

I think the important part was the moratorium/free trade issue... Papadopoulos needed sth to "sell", and Varosha wasnt enough - or Talat is fed up with the GC management of the "green line" trade, and cannot agree to a shared port? But who put the max demand first, and who responded?[/quote]

And may I ask why Kerinia or Morphou or any other place in the occupied areas belongs more to you than Varosha?
There is no place in Cyprus that it belongs exclusively to you, and as a matter of fact there is no region of Cyprus that the majority is not a Greek Cypriot one (until you performed the ethnic cleansing).

I guess GCs had found their new scape goat. The last 30 years it has been Denktas. Now that Denktas is gone, they found Talat. When Talat is gone, and somebody else comes and refuse the maximalist GC demands, then he/she will be the new scape goat.

Anybody but GCs are responsible for this Cyprus Problem. Anybody but GCs.

And on top of this, this coming from a GC that claims that TCs are not Cypriots makes things even clearer.

And still asking why we could not solve Cyprus problem in the last 42 Sorry, turkcyp, I don't know how other Cypriots feel, and I admit I don't know much about him, but in the stories and articles I've read on here he just sounds glum and totally against anything good. I didn't mean it in a bad way it's just what I've heard so I apologise for that.

Every Turkish-Cypriot that I've spoken to fails to listen to me when I say that I accept that both sides are to blame for the war and I fully understand the Greeks' part of it !

Leon.

Leon you are the reason.
If you dont accept Turks as cypriot, how do you wait their cooperation?

Well If Greeks dont want TC, Turkey always accept them.
