Feel free to talk about anything that you want.

They are NORTH Londoners.

Their family is from the Occupied Village of Kontea, Famagusta District so our Stavros is a refugee.

Help out our Beloved Stavros the Refugee this Saturday Night in the Final.

Bill, I'd like to see the best performer go through and not the best refugee!

Let everyone vote fair & square and may the best performer win…

Aren't the government about to change the law so that "refugeeism" is inherited from both the father AND the mother, which will mean that in a few years everyone will be a refugee? (I am sure I can use some mesa to become one as well!)

couldn't have agreed more.

Can’t help thinking of the enormous confidence “Stavros” has instilled in his son to just go for it in life… that’s one father a son will never forget.

That's what has really impressed me GR, their dancing is OK but the relationship between them is an an example to all fathers and sons, good luck to them. They are not the best act in the competition but somehow I now think they have a good chance of winning.

I am most impressed too, as Stavros said he was 40 years old and chances are he was born in the UK, yet has adopted the distinct Cypriot culture and passed it on to his son ... whilst making it acceptable in a different country, through humour.

Stavros is a great role model to all those absentee British fathers who have nothing to do with their kids.

I think he has a wonderful relationship with his son that is obvious, they went for a really entertaining variety act and won thru, as they should, loved em

He is patriotic to his 'homeland' as well (as we don,t know IF he was born here in Cyprus) but his ability to send himself up I think is more British than Cypriot, he is a role model, but it should be to ALL fathers who care little for their offspring wherever they originate from. Thats more of a wordwide male problem

They won,t win on Saturday :( but they have kept us entertained

I agree with your last line. The program is designed to make money. Only singers will make them money. Shame really.

Don't be too sure Deniz. They were not the best act last night but tens of thousands of Cypriots must have boosted the vote for them.

I know. I said that they were not as good as the first Irish dance routine. Who owns the show? Is it Simon Cowell perchance?

Fellow Cypriots. If you're into this kind of nonsense, the Cypriot thing to do is to vote for the act which – in your view – has the most merit, not is the most 'Cypriot'... What are we, barbarians?

(And what's Cypriot about wearing a white skirt and dancing to Zorba so Englezi can laugh at us? Where's our dignity?)

Please don't go all soft and cuddly on us GR.

Pollocks to best performer, which they were of course, the NATIONAL STRUGGLE mate.

Own up, who's impersonating our GR?

The good people of the kokkinochoria are in my experience great, great Patriots, perhaps the most uncompromising of all, in the National Struggle. The good people of Sotira, Xylotymbou, Paralimni, Ormidhia etc etc are a fine example to all of us.

Well if he does not own it he will certainly make a wad out of it, I'm not sure how he could make much if Stavros wins though. Stavros said on the radio today that they are going to do a routine similar to the first one at the final not a "Greek" one. One complaint though, I wish he would say he is Cypriot rather than Greek.

PS at 12 to 1 they are worth a punt, in my opinion.
